"It was with shock and disbelief that I also followed the number of terrorist attacks over the last week or so. I want to reiterate the words of the Chancellor (in his message to campus over the weekend) that we express our sympathy and support for all those affected by these tragedies. This Monday afternoon, November 16 at 4 p.m. (at UWM's Spaights Plaza), there will be a gathering in remembrance of those we have lost to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, Beirut, Egypt, Tunisia and Syria. Please join us in reflection and solidarity in Spaights Plaza as the sun sets."

Thank you for your update regarding the gathering to remember the terror victims in various parts of the world. I just would like to mention that the recent wave of terror attacks is not limited to Paris, Beirut, Egypt, Tunisia and Syria.
Since October 1, 2015 there have been several dozens of terror attacks on civilians (65 stabbings, 8 shootings, 8 car rammings) in Israel with 14 people killed and 167 wounded - of them 20 seriously, 72 treated for shock. You can read more about that at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs web site (http://mfa.gov.il/MFA/ForeignPolicy/Terrorism/Palestinian/Pages/Wave-of-terror-October-2015.aspx) or the names of the victims at the Jewish Virtual Library website (http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Terrorism/victims.html#2015).
